An Example Plantation
The plantation shown below was established in 2006 at Thornton in North-East Victoria. About 25 hectares were planted on a 40 ha property, with the remainder of the block used to retain remnant trees and to keep the area surrounding a seasonal creek free for revegetation plantings. Three main species were planted (blue gum, spotted gum, yellow stringybark), with the intention of harvesting for sawlogs and bioenergy production in about 20 years.

A more detailed description of the development of this plantation can be found in an online diary.
